Vera University is in the behavior change business.

​​Vera University is the learning and development division of Vera Whole Health. Our team is made up of experienced coaches and educators who utilize experiential learning methodologies to deliver education with a coach approach. We believe that learning happens best in a collaborative and esteeming environment where each student’s unique perspective is honored as a contribution.

Vera University is a Seattle-based Vocational School founded in 2010 with the mission to provide the most emotionally intelligent and talented wellness and healthcare providers to the industry.  Our graduates apply their expertise and gained skills in a variety of settings, including private practice, hospitals, clinics, fitness and wellness centers and in corporate teaching, training and development. We attract individuals who are driven by a passion for health and life-long learning.

Ashley Stack, PHR, CPC
VP of People Strategy
As the VP of People Strategy, Ashley has over 15 years of experience managing Human Resources and Learning and Development teams. Her emphasis is people strategy, organizational growth, change management, creating strategies that support a learning organization, culture assessments, process improvement, total rewards and high volume recruitment. At Vera, she relies on this extensive background of knowledge to develop the Vera University team and support continuous growth in the organization. She has spent the last 10 years working in healthcare, more specifically in a healthcare behavior change setting. Ashley has a passion for working in healthcare and making a difference in people’s lives.

She has designed and implemented performance management systems, learning and development plans, and deployed coaching programs in multiple industries and focus areas. Ashley holds the Professional Human Resources (PHR) credential and is a Certified Professional Coach.

Jamie Hall, PCC, MFA, CHC
Lead Instructor
Jamie is the Lead Educator and Health Coach for Vera University where she has co-created and facilitated dozens of courses for wellness professionals including The Coach Approach, Vera Wellness Coach Certification, Yoga and Personal Training Certification and Nutrition in Action Certification. For nearly 2 decades Jamie has helped people connect to their vitality and passion through expressive arts, fitness training and health coaching. She received her Master’s in Fine Arts from the University of Washington with a focus on education and nutrition. She completed a health coaching certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She continues to develop and deliver curriculum for the public as well as the Vera Whole Health clinical staff, incorporating coaching principles in patient care improving the quality and effectiveness of clinical interactions.

Jamie is a master at connecting with groups and individuals, helping them discover that the road to true health and vitality is not through a miracle pill, strict diets, or the next fad exercise routine; it is an individual and integrative journey. The science and methodology of coaching has proven to be integral to healing and personal growth and Jamie is passionate about sharing these tools.

Sharing this journey with her students and clients is a huge source of inspiration for Jamie. Using the healing powers of food, yoga, and joyful movement, Jamie offers a unique approach to teaching healers to heal themselves and those for whom they provide care.


Kate Parker, ACC
Director of Vera University

As the Director of Vera University, Kate is responsible for overseeing the programs of Vera University while supporting in the training and development of all Vera Whole Health staff. As an internal coach, Kate works with both clinical and administrative staff in the areas of professional development, communication, mindfulness, self-care and stress-resilience. She also serves as a mentor coach to students enrolled in Vera University courses.

Kate Parker has designed and delivered education programing in a wide variety of settings including healthcare, schools, museums, prisons, and for not-for-profit arts organizations. She has facilitated programs for diverse audiences, large and small, in nearly every county in Washington State. Kate is a certified coach and holds the ACC credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Vicki Wilson, CHC
Senior Instructional Designer
Vicki is the Curriculum Specialist for Vera University, as well as an internal staff Health Coach for Vera Whole Health. She made the leap into healthcare from a career in teaching foreign language and fitness. She holds a Masters in Italian Studies and a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts from the University of Washington. She is also a Vera Certified Health Coach, in addition to a Certified Pilates Instructor and NASM Personal Trainer.

Vicki’s position at Vera University allows her to integrate both her classroom experience and artistic background behind the scenes to develop visually appealing and impactful curriculum materials to enhance the students’ learning experience. Her experience as a teacher and coach taught her about different learning types and styles, and what keeps people motivated toward making lasting change. In addition to curriculum, Vicki facilitates trainings, coaches staff and mentors students enrolled in Vera University courses.

Outside of the office, you might find her cycling through the city, rock climbing around the state, enjoying a yoga classes or perusing the farmer’s market with her puppy.
